Welcome to the only South African Forestry Museum.

Our exhibits explain how technology has influenced the development of forestry history over the years. The Museum views the birth of forestry and the role trees play in nature and offers information on the land preparation, planting and the management of un-utilized land as well as educating how we can add value to an environmentally friendly industry.


Visiting hours:

Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 to 16:30

Saturdays: 08:00 to 12:00

Public Holidays: 08:00 to 12:00

Closed on Sundays



R10 per person: All ages.



The museum is located on the corner of 7th & 10th Avenue, Sabie.
