Thivhine Kliphuis, a restored monument built in the early 1940’s offers an unforgettable experience in nature. This guesthouse is located on open grassland bordering an indigenous forest and a lush plantation.

A fully equipped kitchen, electrical lighting and hot water will make your stay warm and comfortable. Come and relax around a cosy fire or have a braai at the lapa under a starlit sky, at the same time enjoying the exceptional views of the Soutpansberg, emphasising that Thavhine means “on top of the mountain”.

With electric lighting generated by means of solar power, in the kitchen is a gas stove and fridge with a wood burning stove ensuring hot water for the bathroom and kitchen.

There is one double bedroom and three bedrooms with two single beds each (bedding is provided).

In addition to the bathroom and two toilets, the ablution facilities include two outdoor showers with hot water.

Bring along your mountain bike or enjoy one of the adjoining hiking trails. Visitors can also fish for bass in the Ebbe Dam or take a swim in the rock pool near the kliphuis.
