SAFCOL (South African Forestry Company SOC Limited) is a state-owned enterprise in South Africa, operating under the auspices of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE). As a key player in the forestry sector, SAFCOL manages extensive operations across several regions, including Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and KwaZulu-Natal. Additionally, its influence extends beyond South Africa’s borders into the southern regions of Mozambique, specifically the Manica and Sofala provinces.
