SAFCOL (South African Forestry Company SOC Limited) is a state-owned company under the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE). SAFCOL’s mandate is; to conduct forestry business which includes timber harvesting, timber processing and related activities, both domestically and internationally.

Forestry
Forestry mainly focuses on management and protection of the growing stock to sustainably provide logs to the industry and internal processing mills.
Processing
We process our softwood pine logs at our sawmilling operations into kiln-dried, high-quality graded lumber products.
Timber-frame Structures
Timber-frame construction is one of the oldest known building methods, especially in the northern hemisphere, largely due to the sturdy and resilient qualities of timber, and the relative ease of construction.
Training Centre
Learning and development represents a strategic priority for SAFCOL. The interventions that are offered not only support Government skills development initiatives but also assist the Company with the implementation of its corporate strategy.
